Bandai Spirits' Tamashii Nations, the collectible toy division in Japan, is commemorating the 10th anniversary of its highly popular die-cast action figure series, "METAL BUILD," with two special edition products. Set for an August 2021 release, fans can look forward to the "Strike Gundam METAL BUILD 10th Ver." and the "Aile Striker Pack METAL BUILD 10th Ver." Pre-orders for these commemorative items opened on the Tamashii Web Shop starting July 29th at 6 PM JST.
The "Strike Gundam METAL BUILD 10th Ver." and "Aile Striker Pack METAL BUILD 10th Ver." essentially feature the same product contents as the regular "METAL BUILD Aile Strike Gundam" released in 2018. However, these new versions come packaged in special METAL BUILD 10th Anniversary commemorative boxes.
・METAL BUILD Strike Gundam
MSRP: 16,000 JPY (Tax Included) Release Date: August 2021
Height: Approximately 180mm Materials: ABS, PVC, Die-cast parts
Supervised by Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Mechanical Animation Director Satoshi Shigeta, the Strike Gundam's overall design masterfully blends a weapon-like hard-edged feel with sharp, intricate contours. The exposed metal frame utilizes premium die-cast parts with a two-tone electroplated finish, delivering an exceptional metallic texture. The white armor features a refined matte finish, while the entire unit boasts original high-density detailing unique to the METAL BUILD series. This release includes two Armor Schneiders, a Beam Rifle, and an Anti-Beam Shield. Furthermore, it can equip various separately sold "Striker Packs," allowing for the recreation of the Aile, Launcher, Sword, and Lightning Striker forms, among others, offering a wide array of display options.
・METAL BUILD Aile Striker Pack
MSRP: 8,500 JPY (Tax Included) Release Date: August 2021

Reinterpreted by Mobile Suit Gundam SEED mechanical designer Kunio Okawara, the Aile Striker Pack features enhanced detailing throughout. The wings and thruster sections also incorporate multiple original movable mechanisms, allowing the Strike Gundam to display dynamic action poses with its backpack wings, much like its successor, the Freedom Gundam. This product includes only the backpack unit and can be equipped on separately sold METAL BUILD Strike Gundam and Gundam Astray series mobile suits.
