Following the popular and humorous Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters merchandise releases such as the "Pot of Greed Full Color Ceramic" and "Pot of Greed & Pot of Avarice Mug Set," Bandai Japan is now expanding its newly developed "Bandai Meikou" ceramic series. This latest offering introduces the "Pot of Extravagance Cup & Dragon Capture Jar Cup," bringing two iconic cards to life at once! The set is priced at 6,050 JPY and was available for pre-order starting July 21, 2021, with an estimated shipping date of February 2022.
"Pot of Extravagance" (金満な壺) is a Normal Spell Card in the "Yu-Gi-Oh!" series, boasting a more luxurious, golden, and shiny appearance than previous "Pot" releases. The Continuous Trap Card "Dragon Capture Jar" (ドラゴン族・封印の壺) has effects related to changing battle positions and monster types. While this card is on the field, all face-up Dragon-Type monsters are changed to Defense Position and cannot change their battle positions.
These new "Pot of Extravagance Cup & Dragon Capture Jar Cup" figures bring both iconic pots to life in three dimensions, standing approximately 12 cm tall. Each cup meticulously recreates the pots' unique shapes and intricate details, from their peculiar, unsettling smiles to their distinctive forms. This release also marks the first time the back of the Pot of Extravagance has been revealed, showcasing a lavish, jewel-adorned design. Even viewed from this side alone, it makes for a beautiful cup! They can be displayed as collectibles or used as unique serving cups for snacks or parties, allowing these legendary pots to subtly integrate into your daily life.
