Brazilian statue powerhouse Iron Studios is set to release a new addition to their 1/10 scale Battle Diorama Series (BDS) Art Scale line: the "Zordon" limited edition statue, based on the classic superhero series "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers." This impressive piece is priced at $149.99 USD and is slated for a Q2 2022 release!
The iconic "GO! GO! Power Ranger!" theme song instantly brings to mind the American live-action television series "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" (MMPR), which aired from 1993 to 1995. This three-part series was adapted from Japan's Super Sentai franchises, specifically "Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger," "Gosei Sentai Dairanger," and "Ninja Sentai Kakuranger." The story follows five teenagers who are granted superpowers by Zordon, transforming into the Power Rangers to defend Earth from the villainous Rita Repulsa, who seeks to conquer the world.
Check out the opening sequence of Power Rangers as aired in 1994:
The "BDS Art Scale Zordon" 1/10 scale limited edition statue meticulously recreates Zordon, who is trapped in a dimensional warp and can only project his image within an energy tube to assist the Power Rangers. Standing approximately 13.7 inches tall and 5.5 inches wide, the sculpt of Zordon's face, suspended within the tube, faithfully captures the features of actor David Fielding. It also includes a built-in blue LED light effect, perfectly replicating his on-screen appearance! Furthermore, the base and other intricate details are finished with a metallic paint application, allowing collectors to combine it with other BDS Art Scale Power Rangers figures to create a magnificent scene of the Rangers within their base!
