Hong Kong-based toy manufacturer Hot Toys recently announced their latest creation from "The Mandalorian," the Luke Skywalker 1/6 scale collectible figure! Both a regular edition and a DX version will be released simultaneously, with an estimated shipping window from Q4 2022 to Q1 2023. This article focuses on the details of the regular edition.
In "The Mandalorian" Chapter 16: The Rescue, the mysterious Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker made a dramatic appearance aboard Moff Gideon's light cruiser, effortlessly dispatching all the Dark Troopers en route to the Mandalorian's position. He subsequently took Grogu, promising to complete his training. This figure stands approximately 28 cm tall and boasts 30 points of articulation, faithfully recreating Luke's signature black Jedi attire, complete with a leather-textured belt, right glove, and long boots. Accessories include a 1/6 scale Grogu figure, an LED light-up lightsaber, a lightsaber hilt that can be attached to the belt, and both standard and motion-effect lightsaber blades.
▼ "Nice to meet you, I'm Luke" – a friendly outstretched hand! LOL
The head sculpt masterfully captures the youthful facial contours of Mark Hamill, as seen with the de-aging CGI technology. Beyond the realistic skin texture, the articulated eyeballs significantly enhance the figure's expressive potential. This "The Mandalorian" version of the 1/6 scale Luke Skywalker also features a special edition that includes a holographic accessory of the Imperial light cruiser.
