The "RX-78F00 Gundam" standing in Yokohama features significant design differences from previous iterations of the original Gundam. Unlike the highly accurate Odaiba Gundam, the Yokohama Gundam has a smaller head and backpack, with numerous lines added to its armor, giving it a more slender visual profile. Its backstory is set after the One Year War, where Amuro Ray's missing "RX-78-2 Gundam" was discovered near an Earth Federation facility close to "GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA." Extensive research, analysis, and reconstruction using its remnants ultimately led to the completion of the "RX-78F00 Gundam."
The "1/48 RX-78F00 Gundam" assembly model kit faithfully recreates the new design of the life-sized Yokohama Gundam in 1/48 scale. It meticulously reproduces the detailed panel lines and segmentation of the armor. The kit also comes with color-correcting stickers and water-slide decals featuring the same markings as the actual mobile suit. Beyond the built-in head LED light-up module that illuminates the twin eyes and head camera, the fingers are also articulated, mirroring the design of the 18-meter full-scale RX-78F00 Gundam!
