On April 14, 1912, the "unsinkable" dream ship, the Titanic, collided with an iceberg in what would become one of the most infamous maritime disasters in modern history, cementing its place as one of the most recognized vessels in the world. In this Toy-People review, we're diving into a LEGO set that is truly epic in both piece count and sheer size: the Creator Expert 10294 Titanic!

The LEGO Titanic, set number 10294, is constructed from a staggering 9,090 pieces. While its piece count is second only to the 11,695 pieces of the 31203 World Map, it narrowly surpasses the 9,036-piece 10276 Colosseum. However, its assembled length of 135 cm (nearly 4.5 feet) makes it unquestionably the largest LEGO set ever released, a fitting tribute to the original ship's Olympic-class scale! Let's get right to it and open this beast up.
▼ The box itself is massive, with a premium black-and-gold design that elegantly showcases the Titanic. To give you a sense of its sheer scale, we brought in a LEGO sea captain for comparison.

▼ The back of the box features the standard LEGO layout, displaying product details, features, and lifestyle shots.

▼ The top of the box also shows the LEGO Titanic, along with a 1:1 scale illustration of a Cargo Crane element.

▼ The bottom features a pattern made of shimmering gold LEGO pieces.

▼ Opening the box, you're first greeted by a golden line-art illustration of the Titanic. Inside are three inner boxes containing the parts for the bow, stern, and midship sections.

▼ The set comes with three separate instruction manuals, allowing for a collaborative building experience. This is a set you can genuinely build with friends and family.

▼ Each instruction booklet contains historical information and facts about the real Titanic.

▼ The LEGO Titanic is built to a 1:200 scale, the same as the Architecture series' Statue of Liberty.

▼ Here are all the parts laid out! They completely covered our entire workbench and then some. There are 66 bags in total, numbered up to 46.

▼ Fellow collectors, are you ready to join us in assembling this magnificent maritime palace? By a rough estimate, we spent about 30.5 hours on the build, though this included setting up cameras for time-lapses and processing files for this review. You might be able to finish it even faster! Let's get building!
▼ And it's complete! The final product is clean and focused: the LEGO Titanic itself and a display nameplate.

▼ We've brought in a LEGO pirate for another scale comparison to help you appreciate the vessel's immense size. "Thank goodness the table is big enough," was a thought that constantly ran through our minds during the build.

▼ Let's take a quick look at the TITANIC nameplate. It's the last we'll see of it, as we have to admit the design is a bit too simplistic.

▼ The LEGO Titanic boasts fantastic display presence and is remarkably stable. Unlike previous sets like the 75252 UCS Imperial Star Destroyer, where the stand is integrated into the model, this build's faux-wood stands can be easily removed, which is incredibly convenient for taking photos.

▼ Now let's examine the exterior! From the sweeping curves of the hull and the well deck at the bow to the iconic massive funnels and the three enormous propellers at the stern, every detail is accurately recreated. Finer points like the bridge, crow's nest, windows, and the lifeboats on deck are all present. The fact that most of the visible LEGO studs have been smoothed over gives it an elegant, collectible feel. Comparing it to the ship in the 1997 film "Titanic," the resemblance is truly astonishing!

▼ The anchors at the bow are represented by black hot dog pieces, adding a touch of playful ingenuity.

▼ Here's another interesting detail: the American flag correctly features only 46 stars, accurate for that time period.

▼ The four massive funnels are attached using Technic pins to achieve their slight angle, and the rigging lines add a fantastic layer of realism.

▼ There are 16 lifeboats in total.

▼ Built at a 1:200 scale, this LEGO Titanic pairs perfectly with LEGO's micro-scale figures.

▼ In contrast to the sharp bow, the rounded stern is also beautifully and accurately recreated. The overall shape is gorgeous.

▼ The rudder's articulation is faithfully reproduced here, perfectly capturing the Titanic's "large ship, small rudder" design characteristic.

▼ As mentioned earlier, the LEGO Titanic features a three-section design. The sections are connected not only by horizontal clips and long Technic axles but also by a vertical pin that drops in from the top, creating an incredibly sturdy and interesting structure.

▼ Next up is the interior! The build includes a swimming pool, the first-class dining saloon, various classes of cabins, the Grand Staircase, and the boiler room. What impressed us most was how a simple combination of 1x2 trans-blue tiles and plates could represent a swimming pool—it's peak LEGO creativity.

▼ Turning a gear reveals the engine in action, reminiscent of the spectacular scenes from the movie. This mechanism is also linked to the propellers at the stern!

LEGO 10294 Titanic Review Summary
This LEGO Titanic masterfully recreates the original ship's exterior at a 1:200 scale. It utilizes existing LEGO elements to achieve realistic, sweeping curves, and the details across the decks and the massive funnels are executed brilliantly. The neat rows of porthole windows create a visually stunning and powerful effect. The joy of the interior details is best experienced during the build process itself; once assembled, it's not as easily accessible as a Modular Building. However, separating the hull sections to reveal the cross-section and the working engine are captivating features in their own right.
In terms of displayability, we feel it's absolutely perfect. The model's stability is unquestionable, and the support stands are easy to attach and remove. For moving, it can be separated into its three sections. The only real challenge is finding a space large enough to display it. Highly recommended for any die-hard Titanic enthusiast.
