The Coffin Girl, Lucy Platini—Her Full Story Revealed
After 4,000 years, the Dimensional War erupted in the early 2000s. Leading the charge of the invading Dimensional Beast army was Hecatoncheir, a child of Tiamat. A girl, sleeping peacefully within a coffin, sensed this power and opened her eyes once more. However, afflicted by a terrible illness from Tiamat's curse, she feared infecting humanity and could not intervene directly. Instead, she chose to create an avatar of herself to combat the Dimensional Beasts.
This avatar was like a weapon that knew nothing but battle. Fueled by the immense Phase Force supplied by the girl's original body, it inflicted massive damage on Hecatoncheir, who was ultimately weakened and abandoned by Astaroth. With that, the girl's second battle concluded. Her avatar expected to vanish, but it did not....
The battle was over, yet she remained. Puzzled, the avatar descended into a village where she met a baker and his wife, who shared their bread with others even amidst the ruins. The couple gave the girl bread and a name: "Lucy Platini." From then on, Lucy lived as the ordinary daughter of a baker. Because her body never aged, the family had to move every three years, but otherwise, her days were peaceful. With loving parents and a quiet life, Lucy grew into a cheerful child, forgetting her original purpose and living as a normal girl for 19 years. But Lucy's mission was not over.
Lucy had a dream that Tiamat was plotting a resurrection. The time had come for her to fight again. Keeping her secret from her parents, she stowed away on a ship bound for Korea, where the "Beast of Destruction" was located. But the cunning Tiamat had already foreseen her rival's move and deliberately leaked information about Lucy and her original body. An organization known as The Order, believing it to be a divine sign, set out to secure the "remains of the first awakened one," which held abnormally powerful energy. Upon her arrival in Korea, Lucy was ambushed by Taoist priests. She fought to protect her original body, but their numbers were overwhelming. After a fierce battle, she collapsed and vanished with a final scream....
The two priests who dealt the fatal blow pried the original body from the now-empty prison coffin and took it away, discarding the coffin on a deserted island. But Lucy had not truly disappeared. With her last ounce of strength, she had placed her consciousness inside the prison coffin for protection. A few days later, Lucy's state reset and she revived, whispering of a mission to save people no matter the cost—a "desire" she was feeling for the first time in her life....
A New Journey Begins in Chapter One of the Main Story
After being attacked by The Order, a gravely wounded Lucy drifts to a deserted island. When she opens her eyes again, she meets her first benefactor, Pan Jinlian, and begins a new life. She plans to reclaim her original body from The Order, but soon discovers that without it, she has lost something else vital.... In her current state, Lucy is plagued by a constant "thirst," one that cannot be quenched by water. To survive, Lucy must consume "Phase Force," like searching for an oasis in a barren desert. The only way to satisfy this thirst is to absorb power from Dimensional Beasts. Unfortunately, this is not a complete solution. As Lucy encounters new incidents with her allies on the deserted island, she begins to understand what she truly needs to solve her thirst—but the answer may force her to betray her oath to protect others. From here, torn between doubt and determination, Lucy embarks on a new journey with her companions.
