Hot on the heels of the LEGO Architecture series' "21057 Singapore" set, we're excited to introduce two new Creator series sets that evoke the spirit of the Architecture Skyline theme, but with an added twist: integrated backgrounds! Get ready for the "40519 New York Postcard" and "40520 Beijing Postcard", both slated for a January 2022 release.
These new "postcard" themed sets utilize over 200 pieces each to recreate iconic landmarks from New York and Beijing in a super-miniature scale. For New York, you'll find the Empire State Building, One World Trade Center, and the Brooklyn Bridge, while Beijing features the Summer Palace and a section of the Great Wall. A fantastic detail is the Statue of Liberty being represented by a LEGO minifigure, and the nameplates even feature stylistic variations reflecting their respective locales. The most appealing aspect, however, is the inclusion of a background panel, significantly enhancing the overall display completeness – the Beijing background, in particular, looks fantastic! LEGO has been rolling out more sets in this format recently, making us even more excited for the upcoming official release of the LEGO Ideas "The Starry Night" set, which was recently approved.
