To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Lucasfilm, Japanese toy company KOTOBUKIYA released a special, globally limited edition "Yoda Fountain Statue" non-scale cold-cast painted finished product. Priced at 30,800 JPY, it was released in July 2022, with only 1,138 units produced worldwide.
The iconic Yoda Fountain, a legendary landmark at Lucasfilm's headquarters in San Francisco, was sculpted by Lawrence Noble. Based on a 1990 Lucasfilm Fan Club souvenir, the approximately 31-inch bronze statue of Master Yoda was installed in 2005 within the open park area of the Lucasfilm campus, quickly becoming a pilgrimage site for Star Wars fans worldwide.
Now, Kotobukiya brings the "Yoda Fountain" to collectors in a roughly 22 cm (approximately 8.7 inches) scale. Crafted using cold-cast manufacturing and meticulously hand-painted, the statue faithfully recreates the solemn tone and texture of the original bronze Yoda sculpture. From Yoda's aged facial wrinkles to his tattered Jedi robes, every detail is brought to life, conveying the revered Master's calm and dignified presence. Each piece comes with a unique serial number and a certificate, making it an exceptionally valuable collectible from the limited run of 1,138 units.
