LEGO's Technic series officially unveiled its latest collaboration with BMW yesterday evening: the "42130 BMW M 1000 RR"! This impressive set is slated for release on January 1, 2022.
This marks the first time the Technic series has adopted a massive 1/5 scale, built from an impressive 1,920 pieces. Compared to previous Technic motorcycle models, the exterior integrity and precision are significantly enhanced. For instance, the awesome 42107 Ducati Panigale V4 R, released in 2020, only featured 646 pieces. Once assembled, the "BMW M 1000 RR" stands approximately 27 cm tall and measures 45 cm long, faithfully recreating the real bike's iconic red, blue, and white livery, carbon fiber winglets for track downforce, and titanium exhaust pipes, among other intricate design details.
Beyond its stunning exterior, collectors will appreciate the LEGO BMW M 1000 RR's functional three-speed gearbox, front and rear suspension, chain drive, and inline four-cylinder engine. To complete the display, the set also includes a dedicated display stand with a nameplate and a rear paddock stand, allowing you to perfectly showcase this track beast!
