BANDAI SPIRITS' prize figure brand, BANPRESTO, recently announced the grand opening of "BANPRESTO LAB," a brand-new exhibition space dedicated to character prize figures. The facility is set to open on December 18, 2021, beneath the elevated tracks of Akihabara Station in Tokyo's "SEEKBASE" area.

Typically, BANPRESTO's prize figures are housed in blind boxes within crane game machines, making it impossible to preview them before winning. Collectors have historically relied on official prototype images, rarely getting a chance to see the full product before release. "BANPRESTO LAB" aims to change that by providing a dedicated space for fans to get a comprehensive look at upcoming figures.

The "BANPRESTO LAB" store will regularly showcase 50 of the latest character prize figures. This includes fan-favorite lines such as the "Q poske" series, known for its vibrant, large-eyed designs, the highly detailed "Grandista" series, and the collectible palm-sized "World Collectable Figure" series. The exhibition is slated for monthly updates, ensuring a fresh display of new releases.

Two display stands will be uniquely designed to resemble classic crane game machines, complete with a three-dimensional BANPRESTO glasses logo prominently featured at the top. The exterior walls will boast heart-shaped buttons and meters, allowing visitors to "like" their favorite figures, much like interacting on social media.
