Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya, in collaboration with illustrator En Morikura, today (the 15th) announced the latest addition to their everyday-life bishojo model kit series, "Sousai Shojo Teien," with the upcoming release of "Koyomi Takanashi [Reiho High School Summer Uniform]," slated for June 2022.
The "Sousai Shojo Teien" line is a new 1/10 scale model kit series developed by Kotobukiya in collaboration with popular Japanese illustrator En Morikura. Centered around ordinary yet distinctive high school girls, the series emphasizes five key features: creation, painting, decoration, interchangeability, and collection. Builders can craft their favorite female characters using various hair parts, facial expressions, accessories, and even specialized parts for different poses. Furthermore, separately sold "AFTER SCHOOL" diorama parts allow for the creation of diverse scenes, such as dining at a fast-food restaurant or studying at a desk!
The newly released Koyomi Takanashi is a literary girl who loves reading and writing novels. This kit is based on the previously released winter uniform version, featuring new sculpts for her refreshing white-shirt summer uniform. Both the chest bow and the four expression parts come pre-painted, allowing for an accurate representation of her character straight out of the box.
The extensive accessory set includes 3 types of hair parts, 3 types of bangs for when she's not wearing glasses, 4 types of expression parts ("open smile," "closed-eye smile," "surprised face," "crying face"—each available pre-painted and unpainted), 3 types of glasses parts corresponding to each hairstyle, a stored glasses part, large and small books (open/closed), 3 types of skirt parts, 7 pairs of different hand parts, a smartphone, a school bag, a display stand, a 6mm adapter part for Megami Device, a body part with her left shoulder raised, and water-slide decals, allowing for a wide variety of scene recreations!
Additionally, the official Kotobukiya Shop will offer a limited edition "Dreamy Alternate Color Deep Blue Sapphire" version. While the kit contents are identical to the standard release, the hair and costume parts are replaced with a new blue color scheme, presenting a more fantastical, anime/manga-style aesthetic compared to the standard edition's realistic coloring.
