UNIQUE ART STUDIO, renowned for its impressive large-scale statues, along with its sister studio SHU HiKO STUDIO, is diving into the classic fighting game "The King of Fighters" universe to release the collectible "Mai Shiranui" 1/6 scale statue as part of "The King of Fighters Premium Statue Series." This stunning piece is slated for release in the second quarter of 2022!
Mai Shiranui (しらぬい まい), a vibrant female character, has been a staple in SNK's "Fatal Fury" and "The King of Fighters" game series. Her grandfather, Hanzo Shiranui, is a master of the Shiranui-ryū ninjutsu, a tradition she proudly carries as an exceptional female fighter. Renowned for her striking physique, she wields fans and fire as her weapons. Her iconic in-game pose, swaying from side to side, has left a lasting impression on players, solidifying her status as one of the series' most popular and recognizable characters!
The SHU HiKO "Mai Shiranui 1/6 Scale Statue" brings her "The King of Fighters XIV" design to life, faithfully recreating the intricate cherry blossom patterns on her alluring ninja outfit's hem and belt. Standing at an impressive height of approximately 60 cm, this powerful large-scale sculpt perfectly captures Mai Shiranui's voluptuous figure and beautiful legs. The statue is further enhanced by an ancient-style base, featuring miniature Jizo statues, stone lanterns, tree branches, and mist effects, all encircled by a traditional Japanese-style screen in the background, elevating its overall appeal and collectibility!
