Singapore-based statue brand XM Studios, known for its popular Godzilla busts like the "Godzilla 2001 Bust" and "Shin Godzilla Bust," is now set to release a new "SpaceGodzilla" statue based on the film "Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla"! Pre-orders are currently open on the XM Studios official website, with an XM Exclusive diorama version also available. The statue is slated for a Q4 2022 release.
Released in Japan in 1994, "Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla" (ゴジラvsスペースゴジラ) is the 21st installment in the Godzilla film series and a direct sequel to "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla" (1993). The "XM Studios SpaceGodzilla Statue" continues the brand's Godzilla series, conceptualized and interpreted by XM Studios with modeling design by acclaimed Japanese sculptor Kenichi Tanaka. Standing an imposing 80cm tall with a tail extending 120cm, this statue captures SpaceGodzilla's menacing visage with incredible scale and detail! The sculpt pays homage to the weighty feel of the movie's suitmation, faithfully recreating signature features such as the yellow horn on its head, fangs at the corners of its mouth, and the massive crystal structures on its shoulders. The sturdy body is intricately sculpted with organic skin textures, while the abdomen features a muscular, almost exposed internal organ-like appearance.
