Celebrating the theatrical release of the latest Godzilla movie, "Godzilla -0.0," BANDAI has revealed two special-color Sofubi figures for its popular tokusatsu and Kaiju-focused MOVIE MONSTER Series: King Ghidorah (2026) Theatrical Release Commemorative Original Color Ver. and Godzilla Store Exclusive King Ghidorah (2026) Metallic Silver Ver. The two figures will roll out in Japan beginning November 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. JST.
King Ghidorah (2026) appears in "Godzilla -0.0," the latest film in the Godzilla franchise. Set two years after Japan defeated Godzilla in "Godzilla Minus One," the story follows a nation still struggling through immense pain as its people fight to rebuild their homes. Just as life appears to be returning to normal, a colossal shadow emerges once again, crushing their hopes and plunging them into even greater despair.
Unlike the standard figure’s gold molding and paintwork, these two special-color editions of MOVIE MONSTER Series King Ghidorah (2026) feature dramatically different finishes. One uses translucent yellow vinyl packed with gold glitter, inspired by King Ghidorah’s Gravity Beams, while the other sports a glossy metallic silver finish. This massive King Ghidorah Sofubi measures approximately 8 inches tall and 14.6 inches wide. Despite the simplified detailing around the heads, the sculpt captures the monster’s vicious expressions, densely layered scales, and intricate textures across its wing membranes.
