Singapore-based statue brand XM Studios, following their popular Godzilla-themed releases like the "Godzilla 2001 Bust" and "Shin Godzilla Bust," is now set to release a new "Godzilla 1994" statue, based on "Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla"! Pre-orders are currently open on the official XM Studios website, with an XM Exclusive diorama version also available. It is slated for release in Q4 2022.
Released in Japan in 1994, "Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla" (ゴジラvsスペースゴジラ) is the 21st film in the Godzilla series and a direct sequel to "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II." The story follows Godzilla and Little Godzilla living peacefully on Birth Island after Godzilla's victory over Mechagodzilla, only to be attacked by the extraterrestrial "SpaceGodzilla" descending from space.
The "XM Studios Godzilla Statue" continues the legacy of their Godzilla series. Conceptualized and interpreted by XM Studios, the sculpt was designed by Japanese artist Kenichi Tanaka. Standing an impressive 70 cm tall with a tail spanning 116 cm, it faithfully recreates the distinctive features of the Heisei-era Godzilla, including its sharp eyes, powerful legs, and rugged skin texture. Glossy paint applications on the claws, double rows of teeth, and dorsal fins enhance its organic, lifelike appearance. With a ferocious expression and an open-mouthed roar, the statue perfectly captures Godzilla's immense power and presence!
