Japanese renowned figure manufacturer Good Smile Company (GSC) is launching a brand new series, "Illustration Revelation," which transforms 2D illustrations into stunning 3D figures. The inaugural release in this exciting line is the "Illustration Revelation Yueji Meika" non-scale figure, a collaboration with Chinese artist Tuyi. Priced at 29,800 JPY, this exquisite piece is slated for release in November 2022!
The "Illustration Revelation" series is dedicated to bringing 2D illustrations to life in 3D, manifesting the "revelation" of an artwork. Through the masterful hands of highly skilled sculptors with exceptional compositional abilities, the series takes an artist's intricate worldview and transforms it into a three-dimensional form, further enhancing the illustration's inherent charm and uniqueness for an ultimate figure experience.
The debut "Illustration Revelation Yueji Meika" non-scale figure meticulously recreates the popular Chinese artist Tuyi's (@荼壹 / TUYI ) 2020 illustration "Yueji Meika" in stunning 3D. Standing approximately 24 cm tall, the figure perfectly captures Meika's cool and alluring expression, her pearl-coated light green hair, and her translucent, porcelain-like fair skin, exuding a unique sense of ethereal charm. The figure comes with a clear acrylic stand that recreates the original illustration's text and gorgeous floral background, adding depth and a sense of space. For those who want to appreciate every detail, the background can be removed to reveal her sensual and richly detailed back!
