Japanese capsule toy maker KITAN CLUB (キタンクラブ) is breaking new ground in its popular "Cable Mascot" series. Moving beyond the usual anime IPs and adorable animal themes, they've miniaturized classic effect pedals commonly used with electric guitars and basses into a new "Effect Pedal Cable Mascot" capsule toy collection! This lineup features six distinct designs, each retailing for 300 JPY, and was released in late December 2021.
Unlike the myriad of anime IP and adorable animal-themed cable protectors, the "Effect Pedal Cable Mascot" capsule toys ingeniously blend your charging cable with iconic effect pedal aesthetics. Once you attach these approximately 4.5 cm miniature pedals to your charging cable, your phone gets to experience the visual thrill of being 'plugged into' a full pedalboard! The collection includes six essential effects: OverDrive, Distortion, Chorus, Delay, Phaser, and Fuzz. While they regrettably won't alter your phone's actual audio, the designs boast interactive features like pressable footswitches and twistable knobs, creating an authentic and highly detailed miniature experience!
