LEGO recently announced a new Seasonal set for 2022: "40522 Valentine Lovebirds"! The set is now available on the official LEGO website.
This charming set features 298 pieces and stands approximately 11.5 cm tall once assembled. It beautifully recreates the vibrant plumage of the lovebirds using yellow, orange, and green bricks. Sloped bricks and curved elements are cleverly employed to build up the overall layers, softening LEGO's signature studded look, while the miniature bodies of the parrots are well-replicated, making them incredibly cute! Beyond the birds themselves, the set also includes a branch-like base adorned with pink heart elements, allowing you to securely display the two lovebirds together. A long, clear element supports a bright red brick-built heart in the center, perfectly capturing the sweet, affectionate essence of these famously devoted birds.
