US brand Espada Art, known for producing high-quality Japanese anime statues, is following up on its highly anticipated "Hunter x Hunter" releases, which include the fan-favorite Gon & Killua and Hisoka statues. Their third new offering is the "Kurapika" 1/6 Scale Limited Edition Statue, priced at $499 USD. This collectible is limited to 400-500 pieces worldwide and is expected to ship in Q1 2023.
Kurapika, a candidate from the 287th Hunter Exam, initially teamed up with Gon and Leorio during the trials, later forming a formidable quartet with Killua Zoldyck. As the sole survivor of the Kurta Clan, massacred by the Phantom Troupe, Kurapika is driven by a profound quest for vengeance. While typically intelligent, calm, and rational, he becomes unhinged and loses his composure whenever the Phantom Troupe or his clan is involved. In moments of intense emotion, his eyes transform into the striking, crimson "Scarlet Eyes."
The Espada Art "Kurapika" 1/6 Scale Limited Edition Statue stands approximately 35.5 cm (14 inches) tall and depicts him clad in his signature yellow and blue Kurta Clan attire (before his quick change). Inspired by his iconic battle against Uvogin during the Yorknew City arc, the statue captures Kurapika mid-leap, dynamically unleashing his Conjuration Chains. Despite a seemingly calm expression, his Scarlet Eyes glow with intense fury, betraying his powerful rage. The sculpt perfectly recreates his agile evasion of Uvogin's attack while simultaneously deploying his Chain Jail, with the chains swirling vividly around him.
