The mightiest Decepticon is here! Good Smile Company, renowned for its best-selling Nendoroid figure series, is set to release a Nendoroid figure of the iconic villainous leader, Megatron, from the classic "Transformers" animated series in April 2022!
"Transformers" has long been a household name, a classic robot franchise that evolved from Japan's Takara Tomy "Microman" line. Since its debut in the US with an animated series in 1984, it has captivated countless fans, and its related transforming robot toys remain incredibly popular products to this day.
The core narrative of "Transformers" revolves around the perpetual struggle between its two main factions: the Autobots and the Decepticons. Many long-time fans will undoubtedly remember the original Chinese names "Iron Ox" and "Jumbo," which correspond to the now-standard "Optimus Prime" and "Megatron," respectively. Megatron's early animated design was incredibly cool, famously transforming into a giant handgun, and his popularity rivaled that of Optimus Prime.
This Nendoroid Megatron faithfully recreates the character's look from the classic animated series. While the figure doesn't transform, its charming SD (Super Deformed) style is undeniably fun. Coupled with an angry expression and various hand parts, collectors can pose Megatron in a multitude of dynamic and expressive ways. This is a must-have for any "Transformers" enthusiast looking to expand their collection.
