Bandai's Gashapon division in Japan is bringing back its popular "ULTIMATE LUMINOUS" capsule toy series, known for its ultimate sculpts and ultimate luminescence. The latest release, "ULTIMATE LUMINOUS Ultraman SP2," features updated sculpts and fresh colorways for previously released versions! Each capsule will retail for 500 JPY, with a release slated for late January 2022.
True to its name, the "ULTIMATE LUMINOUS" series delivers ultimate sculpts and ultimate luminescence. Despite the compact capsule toy size (ranging from 50mm to 75mm), these figures boast incredibly detailed character sculpts. Each figure also incorporates an internal LED light-up gimmick, and the accompanying building models feature their own light sources, allowing collectors to recreate dynamic nighttime battle scenes. This "ULTIMATE LUMINOUS Ultraman SP2" lineup builds upon past releases, featuring the Ultraman Seven Anniversary Edition from "Ultraman Seven" and the Ultraman Leo Leo Bracelet Version from "Ultraman Leo." The set also includes a rich assortment of building models, such as skyscrapers, residential houses, highways, factories, and combinations like a transmission tower with a tanker truck, or a transmission tower with a bus!
