Japan's official Gunpla flagship store, THE GUNDAM BASE, today announced its latest exclusive product: the "RG 1/144 Hi-Nu Gundam [Titanium Finish]," based on the novel "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack - Beltorchika's Children," is slated for release starting January 22.
The RX-93-ν2 Hi-Nu Gundam is a mobile suit that appeared in the novel "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack - Beltorchika's Children." It holds a status equivalent to the "RX-93 Nu Gundam," serving as the personal unit of Londo Bell's MS team leader, Amuro Ray. Unlike the rushed Nu Gundam, the Hi-Nu underwent thorough maintenance and testing. Designed with a blue and white color scheme, its silhouette is more robust than the Nu Gundam. Its back-mounted Fin Funnels are fixed to wing binders and feature a recharging function. Furthermore, it can wield the colossal, high-power beam weapon, the "Hyper Mega Bazooka Launcher," which draws energy from the battleship Ra Cailum.
The "RG 1/144 Hi-Nu Gundam [Titanium Finish]" builds upon the standard release kit. Various joints, leg thrusters, and fuel tanks feature a brilliant matte gold plated finish, while the blue parts are rendered in a metallic molded color. The white exterior armor undergoes a TITANIUM FINISH process, where white paint is applied over silver-plated parts, exuding a luxurious titanium-like texture.
This product reinterprets the entire mobile suit's mechanisms and intricate details in the RG series style, incorporating a precise inner frame and armor structure within the 1/144 scale. It boasts a "Multi-Link Gimmick" with articulated joints and armor, alongside numerous design elements throughout the body to reduce interference and enhance articulation range. For weaponry, it includes a Beam Rifle x1, Nu Hyper Bazooka x1, Shield x1, Beam Sabers (Hilt x3, Beam Blade x2), and six Fin Funnels. The Fin Funnels are constructed using the "Advanced MS Joint" frame, allowing them to firmly maintain their deployed "ㄈ"-shaped firing configuration.
