Japanese toy company UNIQUE ART STUDIO, known for its impressive line of large-scale character statues, is set to release a new figure of the iconic female character Nakoruru (ナコルル) from SNK's classic weapon-based fighting game, "Samurai Shodown," in August 2022!
Fans are undoubtedly familiar with SNK's "Samurai Shodown" (SAMURAI SPIRITS), which first debuted in arcades in 1993. A pioneer in weapon-based fighting games, it famously features characters wielding their own unique armaments for combat. Its graphic effects, including blood sprays and dismemberment, were also a significant draw.
Nakoruru is arguably the series' main heroine. She is an Ainu miko (shrine maiden) from Hokkaido, who bravely fights against evil to protect nature with her short sword, Chichiusi, and her loyal falcon companion, Mamahaha. Extremely popular, she has appeared in every "Samurai Shodown" installment and frequently makes guest appearances in other games, such as "The King of Fighters." She even has her own dedicated game and an OVA anime.
