Chinese figure manufacturer Myethos is releasing a new "A-Z:[C]" 1/7 scale figure, based on Japanese illustrator neco's original "A-Z:" series. The figure is priced at 13,800 JPY and is slated for release in November 2022.
Japanese illustrator neco's original illustration series, "A-Z:," draws its name from "Also sprach Zarathustra." The series masterfully combines the conflicting elements of beautiful girls and heavy weaponry, primarily utilizing a low-saturation palette of black, white, and gray. Fashionable contemporary elements are incorporated into the costume designs, while the uniquely styled, large-scale high-tech armaments evoke a strong sense of science fiction.
The "A-Z:[C]" 1/7 scale figure faithfully recreates [C]'s striking pink hair and intricate black-toned attire, based on neco's original illustration. Standing approximately 20 cm tall, the figure captures her innocent expression and slender body in a kneeling pose, juxtaposed with a disproportionately massive weapon. Details like printed emblems and barcode patterns on the weapon convey a sense of rigidity and coldness, while the black veil on her head and pearlescent nail polish add soft, delicate, and girlish touches. The overall design masterfully creates a visual impact through these contrasting elements.
