Good Smile Company's mecha-centric brand, MECHA SMILE, held its new product exhibition, "MECHA SMILE IMPACT," from the 14th to the 16th of this month, dropping a massive payload of new robot model kit announcements. This report covers the first wave of new reveals from the "MODEROID" plastic model kit line!

・Super Granzort
・Super Aquabeat
・Super Winzert
Following the release of Granzort, Aquabeat, and Winzert from the classic anime "Madö King Granzort," their upgraded forms from the latter half of the series—Super Granzort, Super Aquabeat, and Super Winzert—are officially joining the MODEROID lineup! These kits feature newly molded parts to recreate their powerful designs, a complete transformation mechanism between Battle Mode and Face Mode, and include their respective signature weapons!
・Jado King Wyburst
・Jado King Hirameck
・Jado King Salaman-Dra
Also from "Madö King Granzort," the evil counterparts created by the Jado Clan, the Jado Kings, are making their debut! Wyburst, Hirameck, and Salaman-Dra feature multi-colored parts to capture their sinister appearances and boast a three-stage transformation between Battle Mode, Face Mode, and Beast Mode!
・Combined Rune God Rayearth
From "Magic Knight Rayearth," the ultimate combined form of the three Rune Gods, Rayearth, is getting a MODEROID release! Continuing the style of the previous three kits, sculptor Aran Moriguchi is once again at the helm. This impressive model stands at a substantial 18cm (approx. 7.1") tall, featuring articulated wings and coming equipped with its iconic sword and shield!
・Tzendolg
The second release from "Knight's & Magic" is the Tzendolg! This large-scale kit stands 17cm (approx. 6.7") tall, perfectly capturing the sharp armor lines and unique centaur-like silhouette. It includes its characteristic lance and shield, along with two head parts to display it with or without its horn!
・Ryu-Knight Zephyr
The protagonist's mecha from the classic anime "Lord of Lords Ryu-Knight," the Ryu-Knight Zephyr, is getting its first-ever plastic model kit! Its unique, stylized proportions and articulation are packed into a compact 11cm (approx. 4.3") frame, and it comes complete with its sword and shield!
・WHITE LILY
From the anime "Granbelm," the ARMANOX piloted by protagonist Mangetsu Kohinata, WHITE LILY, is coming to the MODEROID series. The kit recreates its pure white exterior, which incorporates cute, magical-girl-esque features, including its distinct giant eye-like shoulder armor!
・VIOLACATZE
Also from "Granbelm," the VIOLACATZE piloted by Shingetsu Ernesta Fukami is getting a MODEROID release! The model captures its adorable, stylized proportions and its jet-black, cat-like body!
・Valimar, the Ashen Knight
The colossal Divine Knight from "The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel," Valimar, is being released as a plastic model kit for the first time! The model meticulously reproduces the ornate engravings on its armor and includes its massive tachi. With its fully articulated joints, you can recreate the memorable poses of protagonist Rean Schwarzer at the controls!
・Ingram Reactive Armor
From "Patlabor 2: The Movie," the Ingram equipped with Reactive Armor, as piloted by the reformed Special Vehicles Section 2, is on its way! Thoroughly supervised by original mechanical designer Yutaka Izubuchi, this kit features a wealth of new parts to create the bulky reactive armor. It also includes the face guard for Unit 1 and head parts for Units 2 and 3. Through parts-swapping, you can even build the stripped-down "Bare Ingram" used for data collection in the film!
・HL-98 HERCULES 21 & ASV-99 Boxer
In addition, the industrial Labors from the "Patlabor" series, the HL-98 HERCULES 21 and the ASV-99 Boxer, have also been confirmed for release!
・MADOX-01
From the 1987 OVA "Metal Skin Panic MADOX-01," the titular advanced anti-tank land weapon is getting a model kit! Protagonist Koji Sugimoto accidentally dons the suit during a clandestine transport. This model features precise sculpting to replicate its heavy armor and exposed mechanical frame, and it comes armed with a variety of heavy anti-tank weaponry!
・Power Loader
The iconic Power Loader from the film "Aliens" is being brought to life in 1/12 scale, standing an impressive 24cm (approx. 9.4") tall! It utilizes various materials to recreate the detailed, heavy-machinery aesthetic. The design incorporates working hydraulic pistons linked to the joints, and the claws on its arms feature an interlocking opening/closing mechanism. Most importantly, it includes an articulated 1/12 scale figure of the protagonist, Ripley, to pilot it!
・Cain
The main antagonist from "RoboCop 2" and the next-generation cyborg, RoboCop 2 (aka Cain), is coming as a MODEROID kit. The model features intricately detailed parts to recreate the mechanical frame, cables, left arm Gatling gun, and other fine details, all while maintaining full articulation.
・Aestivalis Ground Battle Frame
From the anime "Martian Successor Nadesico," the mass-produced humanoid mobile weapon, the Aestivalis, is getting a release in its Ground Battle Frame configuration as piloted by Akito Tenkawa! In addition to recreating its armaments like the "Gekigan Punch," the developers are also working on implementing its signature "Assault Pit" separation gimmick, where the head and cockpit detach as a single unit.
・Villkiss
The Ragna-Mail piloted by protagonist Ange from "Cross Ange: Rondo of Angel and Dragon," the Villkiss, is being realized as a MODEROID kit! It features sharp, detailed parts to recreate its angular armor and exposed frame sections. The model includes a full transformation mechanism from its humanoid Destroyer Mode to its flight-capable Wyvern Mode. The wings feature an expansion gimmick, the left arm can be displayed in its freezing bullet launch state, and its armaments include an anti-dragon assault rifle and the "Arzenal" Zero-Type Super Hardness Tearing Blade!
・Fafner Mark Alles
The Savior-Type Fafner known as "The Almighty," the Fafner Mark Alles, has been confirmed for a MODEROID release! The model will capture its slender, elongated physique and its massive, scythe-like wings. More details will be announced at a later date.
While this exhibition was primarily held online, a physical venue was also set up to display the actual prototypes of these new items alongside products released over the years, documenting the growth of the MECHA SMILE brand!
