China's Snail Shell Studio, a brand specializing in original mecha girl action figures, is set to release the "ARGIDAE GIRL BEE-04R Mitsuha" 1/12 scale action figure. This release follows their popular "Wasp Girl Weng-chan," which was designed by Japanese artist MOGUMO (モグモ). The Mitsuha figure was originally priced at 528 RMB and slated for a 2022 release.
Rising Japanese illustrator MOGUMO (モグモ), known for combining cute girls with animal motifs, has collaborated with China's Snail Shell Studio to bring "Mitsuha" to life as the "ARGIDAE GIRL BEE-04R Mitsuha" 1/12 scale action figure. Inspired by the blue-backed cuckoo wasp and sawfly, Mitsuha boasts a dreamy yet dangerously venomous aesthetic.
The figure faithfully recreates the alluring color palette of the original illustration, featuring captivating blue-purple and purple-red gradients. Mitsuha dons venomous bee-themed armor integrated with mechanical structures, meticulously reproducing the massive bee abdomen and delicate wings on her back. Like its predecessor, the "ARGIDAE GIRL BEE-04R Mitsuha" stands approximately 16.5 cm tall. Its wings are crafted from a special transparent material, offering both flexible articulation and translucency, further enhanced with a polarized coating for rich reflective effects. Her "honey thighs," reminiscent of black stockings, receive meticulous special treatment to perfectly capture the lustrous and full appearance from the original artwork.
Additionally, Mitsuha comes with three interchangeable face plates: a masked expression, a smiling face, and a playful winking face with a tongue sticking out, all featuring articulated and adjustable eyeballs! Furthermore, a massive weapon capable of transforming into three different modes is included, allowing collectors to display her with a spear, crossbow, or scythe. This figure promises even more dynamic display possibilities when paired with Weng-chan.
