BANDAI SPIRITS' HOBBY Division, known for its 1/144 scale Gunpla "RG (Real Grade)" series that incorporates advanced inner frames, interlocking armor, and new technologies, today announced the upcoming "RG 1/144 RX-93ff ν Gundam" model kit, slated for an April 2022 release. This product is currently an exclusive item, available only at the new Gundam entertainment facility, GUNDAM SIDE-F.
The highly anticipated "Life-Size RX-93ff ν Gundam Statue," which generated significant buzz in 2021, is set to officially debut this April at the LaLaport Fukuoka front plaza. Standing at an impressive 24.8 meters tall, this statue is based on the design from "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack." Under the supervision of anime director Yoshiyuki Tomino, it features a newly designed "Long Range Fin Funnel" weapon capable of supporting the statue on the ground, along with updated body colors and markings. Its colossal size is truly imposing, and the right arm can even be raised!
The "RG 1/144 RX-93ff ν Gundam" is a modified version of the standard ν Gundam kit. It condenses the original mobile suit's charm and intricate mechanisms into the 1/144 scale, reproducing its formidable design with precise part separation. The shoulders, waist, and hips are engineered with highly articulated joints, and the leg armor also features interlocking mechanisms.
This version utilizes new molded colors and newly designed marking stickers to faithfully recreate the appearance of the life-size statue. It includes the standard armaments: a Beam Rifle, Beam Saber, Hyper Bazooka, and Shield. However, the original six Fin Funnels have been replaced with the newly designed "Long Range Fin Funnel
." Crafted with entirely new parts, this weapon boasts an impressive length, even larger than the mobile suit itself. It can be posed for shoulder-mounted firing using its multi-directional movable support arm, or directly equipped to the right hand.
