BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division has announced the latest addition to its beginner-friendly model kit series, "ENTRY GRADE," with the "ENTRY GRADE 1/144 RX-93ff ν Gundam" slated for an April 2022 release. This particular item is currently an exclusive offering at GUNDAM SIDE-F, the newest Gundam entertainment facility.
The highly anticipated life-sized RX-93ff ν Gundam statue, which generated significant buzz in 2021, is set to officially unveil this April at the LaLaport Fukuoka front plaza. Standing an impressive 24.8 meters tall, the statue is based on its appearance in "Char's Counterattack" and was supervised by anime director Yoshiyuki Tomino. It features a newly designed "Long-Range Fin Funnel" that can support the statue on the ground, along with revised body colors and markings. Its massive presence is truly striking, and its right arm even includes an articulated mechanism for an upward pose.
The "ENTRY GRADE 1/144 RX-93ff ν Gundam" builds upon the previously released standard kit. The main body is a beginner-friendly model kit with approximately 100 parts, offering a significantly lower assembly difficulty compared to the RG (Real Grade) version. Utilizing Bandai's years of accumulated technology, it boasts precise part separation designs, allowing for easy removal of parts by hand. This means you can largely reproduce the mobile suit's colors through simple assembly without the need for painting.
The RX-93ff ν Gundam version not only features revised part molding colors but also includes newly designed body marking stickers and interchangeable hand parts, allowing for a more accurate recreation of the statue's markings and hand poses. The new "Long-Range Fin Funnel" weapon is constructed with entirely new parts and can recreate its deployed barrel configuration through part swapping, enabling shoulder-mounted firing or attachment to the right arm.
