BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division has announced the latest addition to their SD scale Gundam model kit line, the "BB Senshi" series: the "RX-93 ffν Gundam," slated for release in April 2022. This product is currently available exclusively at GUNDAM SIDE-F, the newest Gundam entertainment facility.
The highly anticipated "Life-size RX-93ff ν Gundam Statue," which generated significant buzz in 2021, is set to officially unveil this April at the LaLaport Fukuoka front plaza. Standing at an impressive 24.8 meters tall, this statue is based on the design from "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack." Under the supervision of anime director Yoshiyuki Tomino, it features newly designed "Long Range Fin Funnels" that can support the statue on the ground, along with revised body colors and markings. Its colossal size is incredibly impactful, and the right arm even incorporates an articulated mechanism for an upward pose.
The "BB Senshi RX-93 ffν Gundam" is based on the general release kit from 2014, faithfully recreating the ν Gundam's distinctive design details in a super-deformed (SD) scale with its characteristic squat proportions. It comes packed with a wealth of armaments, including Fin Funnels, a Beam Rifle, Shield, Beam Saber, Nu Hyper Bazooka, and a Type 89 Base Jabber. The eyes can also be swapped between two styles: with or without pupils.
This version not only features updated molded colors but also includes newly designed body marking stickers and new hand parts, accurately reproducing the unique appearance of the Fukuoka life-size statue. The new "Long Range Fin Funnel" armament is also crafted with new parts, allowing its barrel to extend via part-swapping, enabling dynamic shoulder-mounted or right-hand-equipped firing poses.
