To commemorate the upcoming 15th anniversary of "BLACK★ROCK SHOOTER," Japanese figure manufacturer Max Factory has announced the "BLACK★ROCK SHOOTER HxxG Edition." 1/7 scale figure, based on an illustration by popular artist HxxG! "BLACK★ROCK SHOOTER" originated as an illustration by Japanese artist huke, depicting a pale-skinned, black-haired girl in dark attire, with blue eyes emitting a blue flame, wielding a massive black cannon capable of firing 20 rocks per second. Composer ryo of the then-undiscovered doujin music group supercell was captivated by the artwork, leading him to conceptualize a music project for "BLACK★ROCK SHOOTER." He produced the eponymous song using the virtual singer software "Hatsune Miku." The music video's release garnered immense popularity, subsequently leading to adaptations into anime, manga, and video games.
Based on the illustration by popular artist HxxG (@Cheon1986), the "BLACK★ROCK SHOOTER HxxG Edition." 1/7 scale figure faithfully recreates B★RS's dynamic pose, leaning forward in a full sprint. She stands atop a base of scattered rubble, complemented by translucent blue flame effect parts—the "Blue Flame"—that create a sense of light, floating motion! Standing an impressive 30 cm tall and 36 cm wide, her flowing twin-tails and jacket hem enhance the sense of speed. The figure boldly showcases her fair and slender physique alongside the massive, rugged "★Rock Cannon," beautifully capturing the conflicting aesthetics of fragility and power.
