Japanese company Aniplex (株式会社アニプレックス) is set to release a new "Tengen Uzui" 1/8 scale figure, based on the immensely popular anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc." The figure is priced at 19,800 JPY and is slated for release in March 2023.
The Sound Hashira, "Tengen Uzui," saw a massive surge in popularity following the broadcast of "Demon Slayer" Season 2, the "Entertainment District Arc." He famously proclaims himself the "God of Festivities" and possesses an intense love for all things flashy. This flamboyant personality is a direct result of his past as a ninja, where he was forced to operate discreetly in the shadows, leading to a desire for extravagant self-expression. Beneath his makeup, he's a handsome man with three kunoichi wives (whose personalities playfully mirror Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke), earning him the reputation of a true "winner in life!"
The TV anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc" "Tengen Uzui" 1/8 scale figure stands approximately 280 mm tall. It meticulously recreates the Sound Hashira's signature features, including his dazzling, diamond-studded headpiece and his striking red floral makeup. The figure captures him in a dynamic battle pose, sporting a fearless smile as he wields his distinctive Nichirin Blades. Explosive slash effects, rendered as billowing smoke, enhance the sense of realism and action. Dressed in his sleeveless Demon Slayer Corps uniform, Tengen's strong, well-defined arm muscles are prominently displayed, with his golden arm rings and bulging veins faithfully reproduced. As an added bonus, the figure also includes interchangeable bang parts, allowing collectors to display him with his hair down, as seen in the series.
