TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectibles division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS, is set to release a new addition to its popular "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" lineup within the Figuarts ZERO non-articulated figure series. Following numerous successful releases, the latest is the "Figuarts ZERO Tengen Uzui" painted finished product, inspired by the "Entertainment District Arc." It will retail for 8,250 JPY and is slated for release in June 2022.
The Sound Hashira, "Tengen Uzui," saw a massive surge in popularity following the premiere of "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" Season 2, the "Entertainment District Arc." He proclaims himself a god of flamboyance, possessing an intense love for all things flashy, a trait stemming from his past as a ninja where he was forced to operate discreetly in the shadows. After removing his makeup, he is revealed to be a handsome man with three kunoichi wives (whose personalities mirror Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke), earning him the reputation of having a truly enviable life.
The "Figuarts ZERO Tengen Uzui" stands approximately 14 cm tall, capturing the Sound Hashira as he appears in the "Entertainment District Arc" of the TV anime. The figure faithfully recreates his flashy and sparkling diamond-studded headpiece, his striking red floral makeup, and his signature fearless smile. He wields his distinctive Nichirin Blades, meticulously sculpted with the "Destroyer of Demons" inscription and connected chains. Dressed in his sleeveless Demon Slayer Corps uniform, his strong, muscular arms are prominently displayed, and even the vibrant colors of his fingernails are accurately reproduced. The dynamic smoke effect sculpted around him as he draws his blades adds to the spectacular and lifelike presentation.
