T-ARTS, a toy brand under Japan's TAKARA TOMY Company, is set to release a new frog-themed entry in its "Manmaru Animals" (まんまるどうぶつ) series this February: the "Manmaru Frog Netsuke Part 2"!
The "Manmaru Animals" series reimagines various creatures as adorable, curled-up "round balls" within a compact size of approximately 3 cm. Since its debut in 2006 with the "Manmaru Dogs," the line has featured a wide variety of animals, including rabbits, frogs, dinosaurs, penguins, and polar bears. Whether released as charms or display figures, they consistently deliver a wonderfully soothing vibe!
This marks the first time since 2013 that frogs take center stage again in a new capsule toy charm release, making it a long-awaited return. The collection features 8 different items in total, comprising 4 frog species, each available in two color variations. These include the Desert Rain Frog (フクラガエル), Japanese Tree Frog (アマガエル), Pacman Frog (ベルツノガエル), and Poison Dart Frog (ヤドクガエル). Each figure meticulously sculpts the frogs' heads, eyes, and limbs, while striking patterns and gradient colors add a lifelike visual effect. Noticeable differences in the eye detailing further enhance their charm! The more you look, the cuter they get!
