GUNDAM BASE, Japan's official Gunpla flagship store for the "Mobile Suit Gundam" franchise, recently announced the upcoming release of its latest store-exclusive item, the "MG 1/100 Gundam Astray Red Frame Flight Unit (Plated Frame/Color Clear)", set to launch on February 25, 2022.
This kit is a modified version of the standard release previously sold as a Premium Bandai exclusive. It features the incredibly sculpted and highly articulated Gundam Astray Red Frame main unit, complemented by a rich array of armaments including a Beam Saber, Beam Rifle, Anti-Beam Shield, Gerbera Straight, BuCUE Head unit, and the substantial Flight Unit.
Unlike the standard release, this GUNDAM BASE exclusive edition features a frame treated with a striking red plating. The white exterior armor is rendered in a semi-transparent color, with some parts molded in a metallic finish, creating a distinctively rich and substantial aesthetic.
