LEGO recently unveiled the third LEGO House Limited Edition exclusive set, the "40503 Dagny Holm – Master Builder," available only at the LEGO Store within the LEGO House in Billund, Denmark! It will retail for 599 DKK.
In the world of LEGO, a Master Builder typically refers to someone who designs LEGO products or constructs large-scale LEGO models. This set's namesake, Dagny Holm, was not only the first Master Builder but also the niece of LEGO Group founder Ole Kirk Kristiansen. She worked at LEGO during its wooden toy era and returned in the 1960s. Despite the shift from wood to plastic bricks, she continued to demonstrate extraordinary creativity in model making, spearheading the design of cities, animals, castles, and other LEGO landscapes for LEGOLAND Billund. She was truly an exceptional Master Builder.
This set, comprising 1068 pieces, meticulously recreates Dagny Holm's exquisite workspace. It features a brick-built model of Dagny Holm herself, a workbench that appears to have a lifting function, a striking brick-built giraffe model, a desk lamp, a miniature house, and various storage cabinets. The set is also filled with charming decorative elements. Notably, the floor includes a mini-model tribute to the "40501 Wooden Duck" set. Combined with LEGO's recent preference for black display bases and nameplates, this set boasts incredibly high collector value!
