BANDAI SPIRITS' prize figure brand, BANPRESTO, recently announced a massive lineup of products slated for August 2022 release on its official Facebook page. Among the exciting reveals is a brand-new figure set from "Crayon Shin-chan," capturing the beloved Nohara family in their memorable "Taking a Family Photo" scene.
This charming release is inspired by the "Crayon Shin-chan" episode titled "Taking a Family Photo" (家族写真を撮ってもらうゾ). In the episode, the Nohara family (minus Shiro) visits Musae's photography studio so she can practice her portrait skills. Despite numerous comical interruptions and the adults' growing impatience – even Musae, the photographer, gets flustered – they ultimately manage to snap a truly wonderful family portrait.
While detailed product information for these "Taking a Family Photo" figures has yet to be unveiled, official images strongly suggest they will be released as two distinct sets: one featuring Hiroshi and Shin-chan, and another with Misae and Himawari. The figures beautifully recreate the four characters in their rarely-seen formal attire, complete with Misae seated on her chair.
