LEGO has just officially unveiled a new wave of "Harry Potter" themed sets scheduled for a June 2022 release. In this first look, we're breaking down the details for four of these exciting new builds: 76403, 76406, 76407, and 76408.
Three of the new sets are location-based playsets that recreate iconic scenes from the films "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" and "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix." Fans can look forward to building the Ministry of Magic, the Shrieking Shack, and the Order's headquarters at 12 Grimmauld Place. These buildings feature a dollhouse-style construction, allowing you to admire the detailed facade from the front and then turn them around to access and play within the fully furnished interiors. The 12 Grimmauld Place set even includes a clever sliding mechanism that perfectly captures its magical ability to appear out of nowhere, revealing the hidden townhouse.
Beyond the architectural builds, this wave also includes a stunning, brick-built Hungarian Horntail dragon. Comprised of over 600 pieces, this set recreates the thrilling chase scene between Harry and the fearsome beast from "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." The Hungarian Horntail boasts an impressive 40 cm wingspan, and a mechanism built into the base allows you to make its wings flap with realistic motion. Paired with the included flame effect piece, it's an absolutely awesome display piece!
