Known for their breathtaking scale and intricate detailing, Japanese high-quality statue manufacturer Prime 1 Studio is adding a new piece to their "Ultimate Premium Masterline" series: the "Shikinami Asuka Langley Entry Plug Interior" 1/4 scale statue from "Rebuild of Evangelion." The Bonus Edition is priced at 172,590 JPY and is slated for release between August and October 2023. Additionally, the companion Ayanami Rei Entry Plug statue from the same series is also making its debut!
In the "Rebuild of Evangelion" storyline, Shikinami Asuka Langley (式波・アスカ・ラングレー) remains physically 14 years old due to the "Curse of Eva," with little change to her appearance. However, she now wears a black eyepatch over her left eye for unknown reasons and sports a redesigned plugsuit. As the story progresses, she joins the anti-NERV organization "WILLE," led by Katsuragi Misato, participating in operations to eliminate NERV's Evangelions as the pilot of Evangelion Unit-02' Beta.
The Prime 1 Studio "Shikinami Asuka Langley Entry Plug Interior" 1/4 scale statue stands an impressive 64 cm tall, meticulously crafted to an ultra-high standard, depicting Asuka seated within the Entry Plug's cockpit. P1S's painting and sculpting techniques beautifully capture her soft skin, flowing orange hair, bright blue eyes, and the glossy red plugsuit that symbolizes her fiery personality. The suit tightly hugs her slender frame, showcasing her graceful figure with intricate details visible from every angle.
Furthermore, the Bonus Edition, exclusively available at the Prime 1 Studio Japan online store and EVANGELION STORE, includes an additional interchangeable head sculpt featuring a fierce, more characteristic Asuka expression, alongside her confident, subtle smile. The interior of the Entry Plug itself boasts precise mechanical details, such as the control sticks and a deployed HUD (Head-Up Display). The metallic paint application lends a substantial, weighty feel to the overall piece, while the honeycomb-patterned base perfectly evokes the world of Evangelion, creating a truly imposing display!
