BANDAI SPIRITS' TAMASHII NATIONS collectors' toy division recently announced the latest addition to its popular "ROBOT魂 ver. A.N.I.M.E." articulated robot figure series from *Mobile Suit Gundam*: the "High Mobility Zaku Early Type ver. A.N.I.M.E.," slated for release in September 2022.
The MS-06R-1 High Mobility Zaku Early Type is a space-use mobile suit developed by the Zeon forces during the One Year War. It was redesigned and produced based on test data from the MS-06RP High Mobility Zaku Prototype. This particular release represents the early production type, a rare variant with only 22 units ever built. Unlike the standard mass-produced F-type, this version features several small thrusters added to its backpack, legs, and other areas, granting it superior spatial mobility.
The "ROBOT魂 High Mobility Zaku Early Type ver. A.N.I.M.E." stands at 12.5 cm tall, meticulously recreating intricate details such as the backpack and leg thrusters. It faithfully reproduces the early type's distinctive body colors and numbering. The figure boasts a flexible and natural range of articulation, thanks to pull-out and double-joint designs incorporated into multiple joints across the body, including the shoulders, elbows, and knees.
For weaponry, the figure comes equipped with a Heat Hawk (both stored and activated states), a Zaku Machine Gun, a Zaku Bazooka, and an interchangeable commander's antenna for the head. A variety of interchangeable hand parts allow for dynamic combat poses. Furthermore, it includes an impressive 10 sets of articulated thruster effect parts, which can be attached to various thruster nozzles across the body to vividly depict the unit's characteristic high mobility.
