BANDAI SPIRITS' TAMASHII NATIONS collector's division has announced the latest addition to their classic die-cast toy line, "Chogokin," featuring the Fukuoka life-sized Nu Gundam statue. The "Chogokin RX-93ff Nu Gundam" is slated for an August 2022 release.
The "Life-Sized RX-93ff Nu Gundam Statue," which generated significant buzz in 2021, is set to officially debut this April at the LaLaport Fukuoka front plaza. Standing at an impressive 24.8 meters tall, the statue is based on the design from "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack." Under the supervision of anime director Yoshiyuki Tomino, it features a newly designed "Long-Range Fin Funnel" that can support itself on the ground, along with updated body colors and markings. Its colossal size is incredibly impactful, and the right arm even incorporates an articulated mechanism for an upward-lifting pose.
The "Chogokin RX-93ff Nu Gundam" is a 20 cm tall, pre-painted finished product crafted from die-cast, ABS, and PVC parts. It meticulously recreates the sharp styling, heavy coloration, and newly designed body markings of the Fukuoka statue. The head and chest feature built-in LED lighting mechanisms. Each joint boasts a considerable range of articulation, allowing for the statue's iconic raised right arm pose, as well as dynamic battle scenes from promotional videos with its extensive weaponry and dedicated display stand.
The armament includes a Beam Saber, Beam Rifle, Nu Hyper Bazooka, Shield, and the statue's newly designed "Long-Range Fin Funnel." The Long-Range Fin Funnel can pivot forward via a movable back mount or be directly equipped to the right arm, enabling two distinct attack configurations. Its barrel deployment mechanism is recreated without the need for part swapping, and it comes with beam effect parts to replicate firing scenes.
