LEGO's Creator series has unveiled its latest 3-in-1 set, the "31132 Viking Ship with Midgard Serpent"! It is scheduled for release on June 1, 2022.
This set includes 1192 pieces, allowing builders to construct a Viking longship equipped with a massive stud-shooter crossbow. The bow features intricate shaping and layered details, while the sail is crafted from a vibrant array of white and red flat tiles. Studded shields adorn the ship's sides, creating a visually rich color scheme. Another highlight is the articulated model of Jörmungandr, the colossal Midgard Serpent from Norse mythology. Its striking blue-green bricks immediately catch the eye, and the serpent's head boasts massive fangs and a tongue. Ball joints allow for dynamic posing.
Beyond Jörmungandr, this set leverages its reconfigurable 3-in-1 play feature to also build another Norse mythology-inspired character: Fenrir, the giant wolf destined to devour the world. However, due to part limitations, its overall presence might feel a bit understated. Collectors can also assemble a Viking house and a mini dragon as alternative builds! The set includes four minifigures, each featuring Viking helmets and impressive printing. Seriously, the winged helmet on the female warrior is incredibly cool!
