Japanese figure manufacturers GOOD SMILE COMPANY and Max Factory recently announced the latest addition to their affordable pre-painted figure series, "POP UP PARADE." The new release, "Lancer/Scáthach," hails from the popular mobile game "Fate/Grand Order" and is slated for an August 2022 release.
While the "POP UP PARADE" series may not boast the intricate details of higher-end PVC scale figures—which often start at tens of thousands of Japanese Yen and have release windows extending beyond six months—it still maintains a commendable overall quality. These figures also feature an easy-to-collect size, standing approximately 17-18 cm tall. Although the price for each item saw a significant increase from 3,900 JPY (tax included) to 4,800 JPY (tax included) starting this April, the series remains a viable entry-level option in the affordable price range.
The stunning Queen of the Land of Shadows, "POP UP PARADE Lancer/Scáthach," is sculpted at an approximate height of 17 cm, capturing the Master's agile pose. Both her hair and the hem of her outfit are dynamically sculpted, while various dark tones are used in the paintwork to differentiate textures like leather, sheer fabric, and metal. Unfortunately, her iconic crimson "Gáe Bolg Alternative" is not included.
