LEGO has been steadily unveiling its new releases for the latter half of 2022 across various themes. Among them, the popular Monkie Kid series, inspired by one of China's Four Great Classical Novels, "Journey to the West," is set to receive an incredibly cool new set: the 80039 "The Heavenly Realms"!
Comprising an impressive 2,433 pieces, the 80039 "The Heavenly Realms" set is even larger than the previous celestial-themed 80024 Monkie Kid's Legendary Flower Fruit Mountain (1,949 pieces). The design is stunning, featuring moss-green roof tiles accented with golden elements, vermilion gates, golden door knockers, intricately designed traditional Chinese window frames, and soft, gold-edged cloud accessories. The overall aesthetic beautifully captures the mythical grandeur of a heavenly palace. The structure is divided into several distinct sections: the majestic South Heaven Gate at the front, a central Immortal Peach Garden that can unfold to either side, the Tushita Palace housing the Elixir Furnace, and finally, the grand entrance to the Lingxiao Palace. The set will also include a fantastic lineup of minifigures, such as Monkie Kid, Monkey King Sun Wukong, Taishang Laojun, Erlang Shen, and Nezha. We eagerly await the full official reveal!
