BANDAI SPIRITS' HOBBY Division has announced a new entry in their popular SD GUNDAM EX-STANDARD model kit series: the "GUNDAM AERIAL" from the latest Gundam anime, "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury." This new kit is slated for release in October 2022.
The "GUNDAM AERIAL" is the protagonist Suletta Mercury's mobile suit, bearing a striking resemblance to the "Gundam Lfrith" developed by the Vanadis Institute in the prologue. Beyond its Beam Saber and Beam Rifle armaments, the Aerial also incorporates GUND Format technology, allowing its shield to separate into 11 GUND-Bits that function as remote weapons.
The "SD GUNDAM EX-STANDARD GUNDAM AERIAL" captures the mobile suit's elegant yet sharp silhouette in a charming SD proportion. Key design elements like its intricate chest lines and slender waist are faithfully reproduced. While the forehead features clear parts, the glowing effects on the chest and thighs are achieved with included stickers. For weaponry, the kit comes with a Beam Rifle, Beam Saber, and its signature Shield.
