Japan's GOOD SMILE COMPANY, under its mecha-focused brand MECHA SMILE, showcased multiple new prototypes for its "MODEROID ANTIBODY" series, based on the classic robot anime "Brain Powerd," at the '60th Shizuoka Hobby Show' held starting May 11th.
In "Brain Powerd," ANTIBODY units are large, robot-shaped lifeforms reconfigured from metallic particles. They possess unique characteristics such as slow self-regeneration from minor damage, individual consciousness, and distinct personalities. Pilots don't directly control them; instead, they engage in physical communication like encouragement and touch to guide the ANTIBODY into battle. The ANTIBODY units utilized by the protagonist's faction are known as "BRAIN POWERD," while those used by the enemy force, the Reclaimers, are called "GRAND CHILD (Grand Cher)."
"Brain Powerd," an anime that has rarely seen model kit releases, is now getting several new additions to the MODEROID series. This expansion includes not only the NELLIE BRAIN piloted by protagonist Yuu Isami and the HIME BRAIN flown by heroine Hime Utsumiya, but also the extremely rare enemy "GRAND CHILD" units and the incredibly cool, later-appearing mutant type "BARONS (バロンズゥ)," all currently under development.
