The MECHA SMILE brand from Japan has announced the latest addition to its "MODEROID" model kit series: the Shin Getter 1 from "Getter Robo Armageddon," slated for release in November 2022.

This kit's design is based on Sentinel's RIOBOT version, originally released in 2018. It meticulously re-creates the powerful, voluminous aesthetic designed by T-REX and Yoichi Sakamoto (Chemical Attack) into a model kit format. Featuring pre-painted head parts and multi-color molded runners, the kit can largely reproduce its iconic appearance straight out of the box.

While it doesn't utilize the die-cast metal found in the RIOBOT version, the massive, sleek armor design still conveys a strong sense of heft. Transparent parts are used extensively in areas like the chest, waist, legs, and wings, replicating the green sections that reveal internal mechanical structures, enhancing its intricate mechanical feel. For articulation, flexible joints are incorporated in the neck, torso, limbs, and wing bases, allowing for dynamic poses wielding its various weapon accessories, such as the Getter Tomahawk, Getter Scythe, Getter Lancer, and the dual axes formed from the separated Lancer. Collectors can also recreate iconic stances like high kneeling poses and its signature attack, the "Getter Beam."
