The official Gundam Base flagship store in Japan today announced a new store-exclusive limited item, the "SDW HEROES Wukong Impulse Gundam DX Set Dark Ver.", slated for release on May 21, 2022.
Based on the standard release of the SDW HEROES Wukong Impulse Gundam DX Set from 2021, this new version features a significantly altered color scheme. Key armor parts utilize a GLOSS INJECTION finish to achieve a metallic sheen. The original blue and red effect parts have been entirely swapped for purple, while stickers for the eyes and other areas have been replaced with menacing red versions, faithfully recreating its berserk state after being consumed by darkness at the story's climax.
The kit includes the Wukong Impulse Gundam main body along with two types of enhanced armor: the Shao Wujing Form and Zhu Bajie Form. Collectors can freely swap between the Dark Ver. of the Gouen Form, Shao Wujing Form, and Zhu Bajie Form. Furthermore, all enhanced armor parts can be combined to create the three-in-one "Trinity Monkey King Form"!
