MECHA SMILE's MODEROID plastic model kit series from Japan today announced its latest release from the classic robot anime "Brain Powerd," the "Yuu Brain" and "Hime Brain," slated for November 2022.
In the world of "Brain Powerd," ANTIBODYs are massive, robot-like lifeforms reconstituted from metallic particles. They possess unique characteristics such as the ability to slowly recover from minor damage, self-awareness, and distinct individual personalities. Pilots don't directly control them; instead, they guide ANTIBODYs in battle through physical interaction like encouragement and caresses. The protagonists utilize ANTIBODYs known as "Brain Powerds," while the antagonist faction, the Reclaimers, employ those called "Grand Child" (or "Grand Cher").
The "MODEROID Yuu Brain" kit is crafted using multiple pre-colored runners and pre-painted parts, faithfully recreating its distinctive sandy yellow armor and organic skeletal design. Its various joints offer a wide range of articulation, allowing for dynamic poses including its iconic sitting standby posture, or battle scenes utilizing weapons like the "Brain Bar" and "Brain Blade." Additionally, the kit includes circular effect parts to recreate the in-series Chakra light, which can be displayed with separately sold 3mm joint stands.
