Japanese toy brand T-ARTS, a subsidiary of TAKARA TOMY, is set to release a new series of capsule toys this May, a collaboration with Japanese embroidery artist Junichi Chiba: the "pokefasu Shampoo Cat" (シャンプーキャット)!
Created by designer Junichi Chiba, pokefasu (ポケファス) is a delightful series that reinterprets animals with anthropomorphic charm. Beyond simply outlining cute animal shapes with clean lines, the essence of pokefasu lies in the various poses and expressions that invariably bring a smile to your face. In addition to flat artwork, Chiba's embroidered pieces are also highly popular among fans. This "pokefasu Shampoo Cat" capsule toy collection features 5 different designs. Each 5.5 cm figure perfectly recreates the pokefasu cat, complete with a shampoo cap and raised paws. What's more, each figure comes with its own separate miniature chair accessory. Seeing those tiny cat legs dangling, unable to reach the floor, is an instant heart-melter!
The collection is categorized by fur color, featuring a Brown Calico (茶ミケ), Grey Calico (灰ミケ), Black Cat (クロ), Brown Tabby (茶トラ), and a Leopard (ヒョウ). Take a closer look, and you'll notice that both Calico cats sport unique tongue-out expressions, setting them apart from the others. You'll definitely want to collect the whole set!
